Unlike other companies that contain preservatives such as Propylene Glycol (http://www.atsdr.cdc.gov/substances/toxsubstance.asp?toxid=240), Natur Ox, Myco Curb, Ethoxyquin, etc…, we utilize Nature’s simplest means of preservation: drying. Our products provide a natural source of Omega-3 fatty acids, protein, natural vitamins and minerals and is made from only Wild Pacific fish with no by-products, fillers or rendered materials. The nutritional value of DHA, a key Omega-3 fatty acid found in fish, has long been known as a good fat. The importance of Omega-3 fatty acids can be found in eggs, meat and diary products being enriched with Omega-3 fatty acids by feeding animals flax seed or canola, which are sources of Omega-3 in the form of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). As well, pork is now being enriched with Omega-3 fatty acids by feeding pigs algae or algae derived DHA or alternatively by injecting a brine solution of food grade DHA into pork loins. This is very important especially since consumers are extending their knowledge and concerns with personal health issues onto their pets.
